Когда-то они даже встречались лично.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban exchanged verbal jabs.

Speaking in Davos, Zelensky expressed the following about the Hungarian Prime Minister:

“Every Viktor who lives on Europe’s money while trying to sell European interests deserves a slap. If he feels comfortable in Moscow, we should not allow him to turn European capitals into ‘Moscows.’”

Orban did not hold back and responded to Zelensky via social media X:

“I don’t think we will be able to reach mutual understanding. I am a free man serving the Hungarian people. You, however, are a person in a desperate situation who, for the fourth year, cannot or does not want to end the war, despite the fact that the President of the United States is providing you with all kinds of assistance. Therefore, no matter how much you flatter me, we cannot support your military efforts.

The Ukrainian people, of course, despite your carefully chosen insults, can count on us to continue supplying your country with electricity and fuel, and we will also continue to support the refugees arriving from Ukraine. The rest will be decided by life itself, and everyone will get what they deserve,” Orban wrote.

Previously, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has repeatedly criticized Ukraine's policies and expressed doubts about its sovereignty, stating that the country is dependent on the West. Hungary justifies its tough stance by defending the rights of ethnic Hungarians in western Ukraine.

For its part, Ukraine accuses the Hungarian authorities of a pro-Russian stance on many issues.
