Trump's Plan for Managing Venezuela Revealed

WSJ: Trump's administration is preparing a plan for the governance structure of Venezuela.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is developing a plan to manage Venezuela following the forcible capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro during a military operation. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing a senior official. The focus is on oil trade.

It is noted that the working group on this issue includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

Earlier, Trump called Venezuela a dead country and stated that the U.S. would temporarily manage it to ensure its normal functioning.

On January 3, U.S. Armed Forces carried out airstrikes on targets in the capital of Venezuela and across the country. President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores were captured and taken out of the country.
