NYT: at least 40 people have died as a result of U.S. strikes on Venezuela.
As a result of the U.S. military operation against Venezuela, at least 40 people have died. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT) citing an unnamed Venezuelan official.
It is noted that the data provided to the publication is preliminary.
Earlier, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez stated that the victims of Washington's strikes included both military personnel and officials along with civilians.
On January 3, U.S. Armed Forces carried out airstrikes on targets in the capital of Venezuela and across the country. President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores were captured and taken out of the country.
