In the United States, footage has been shown of the captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who will subsequently be held in a prison in Brooklyn.
Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were first taken to the National Guard base 'Stewart' in New York, from where they were helicoptered to the Drug Enforcement Administration building in Manhattan. Upon arrival in the U.S., both had their biometric data collected, were photographed, and underwent a medical examination.
From Manhattan, Maduro was taken to a prison in New York, the conditions of which are described as 'deplorable and horrific.' By that time, a large group of people with Venezuelan flags had gathered, as well as a significant law enforcement presence.
Footage has emerged of Maduro being escorted by Drug Enforcement Administration officials.
