The head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, Burhanettin Duran, stated: "Turkey is proud to be one of the 10 countries in the world that designs and launches its own military ships. Every ship and every platform launched today reflects the engineering capabilities, innovative potential, and strategic determination of our country."
In his post on the social network NSosyal, Duran noted that in his speech at the ceremony for the "Commissioning of Maritime Platforms, Flag Raising, and First Metal Cutting," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan demonstrated the level Turkey has reached in the defense industry and the reflection of the concept of the 'Century of Turkey' in practice.
Duran emphasized that the 'Century of Turkey' is a period when the concept of complete independence in defense is realized at sea, in the air, and on land, where national will meets technology.
"The decisive steps taken in recent years in the field of defense under the leadership of our esteemed president clearly show the level of domestic and national production. As Turkey, we are proud to be one of the 10 countries in the world that have developed and launched their own military ships. Every ship, every platform launched today reflects the engineering capabilities, innovative potential, and strategic determination of our country," he noted.
