The special envoy of the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, announced that he is heading to Miami, LETA reports citing BBC.
On Saturday, negotiations between representatives of Russia and the United States will take place in Miami, where a possible plan to end the war in Ukraine is expected to be discussed. It is anticipated that the U.S. will be represented by special envoy of President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
On Friday, negotiations took place in Miami between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives of the U.S. and European countries. The U.S. was represented by Witkoff and Kushner, while European countries were represented by national security advisors from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
"The meeting in the United States with American and European partners has concluded," said the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. "We agreed with our American partners on the next steps and the continuation of joint work in the near future."
At this time, a trilateral meeting of representatives from Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. is not planned.
