Trump called Crimea the heart and stated about the enormous potential of the region.
Crimea was the heart of Ukraine until it became part of Russia. This was stated by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in an interview with Politico.
At the same time, the American leader noted that the region has enormous potential. He also emphasized that he was not as involved in the relations between Russia and Ukraine in 2014, but said that he now "knows Ukraine well."
"Crimea was the heart. You know, deep down I’m a real estate guy, right? I know real estate very well. And every time I look at that map, I say, 'Oh, that Crimea is so beautiful.' Wow. It’s surrounded by the ocean on four sides. (...) In terms of beauty, weather, and everything else, Crimea is the warmest. It has just enormous potential," said the head of the White House.
Trump also stated that the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, forced Kyiv to give up Crimea. At the same time, he expressed doubt that the 46th President, Joe Biden, who served as Vice President during Obama's administration, was involved in this, as he "was never very bright."
