American proposals are seen as the basis for work on the 'peace plan,' but there is also a role for Europe.
Georgiy Tikhiy, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said this during a roundtable discussion. Speaking about the 'peace efforts' and negotiations in Geneva, he noted that the outcomes reflect a 'sufficiently positive, optimistic tone.'
'The delegations managed to detail the points proposed by the American side... It is positive that the American delegation is indeed hearing the Ukrainian input. That is, what Ukraine thinks regarding these points. And a number of these provisions are already subject to further development,' Tikhiy reported.
Thus, he noted, they have already managed to reach a 'refined version of these points,' but the work continues and will likely continue for 'these days, this week.' All of this is being done in close coordination with Ukraine's European partners.
