The Chancellor of Germany, Merz, stated that the West has reached the end of the previous world order.
The familiar world order that Western countries were accustomed to has come to an end, stated German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The head of the German government announced this at a conference organized by the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ).
"A deep rift has emerged in the Atlantic, which calls many things into question," said the Chancellor.
According to Merz, "almost everything that [the West] considered right and necessary" is now in doubt. The contours of a new world order are unclear, but their formation is only possible with the participation of "our European neighbors," noted the head of government.
