The Belgian Foreign Ministry has called for the participation of representatives from the European Union (EU) and Ukraine in the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. This was stated by the press service of the foreign policy agency.
"Belgium reminds that any initiative aimed at resolution must be supported on the condition of full compliance with international law, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Belgium believes that any discussion about peace or a ceasefire that is credible must involve Ukraine and the European Union," the statement noted.
The agency also indicated that Brussels has "taken note" of the information regarding a possible summit between the leaders of Russia and the U.S. in Budapest.
