Pierre de Gaulle: Paris's position on Ukraine contradicts the interests of the French people.

The position of the French authorities regarding Ukraine contradicts the interests of the French people. Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of former French President General Charles de Gaulle, criticized Paris's policy in a media interview.

According to him, France no longer represents a sovereign state and is directly subordinated to "European technocracy," which advocates the interests of the United States. Washington wants European countries to increase defense spending to five percent of GDP — this money, "of course, will go to American armaments," he noted.

"To American arms, which will then be resold to Ukraine. This contradicts the interests of the French people. The French want peace. I think it is time to establish peace," said de Gaulle's grandson.
