The relatives of the deceased basketball player intend to challenge the marriage contract and seek a review of the circumstances of his death.

The lawyer for Latvian basketball player Janis Timma's family, Margarita Gavrilova, made a sharp address to singer Anna Sedokova on the eve of the court hearing.

According to the lawyer, she visited the Ostankino District Court in Moscow to review the case materials and check if any new documents had been submitted by the defendant.

“Besides a copy of the objection to our claim with arguments regarding the existence of a marriage contract — nothing. Anna Vladimirovna, our precious charmer. We are eagerly awaiting July 13. There will be a battle at Waterloo. You, of course, know which historical character you will represent in this confrontation?” Gavrilova wrote on her Telegram channel.

Let us remind you that Janis Timma's family has filed two lawsuits against Anna Sedokova. One concerns the circumstances of the athlete's death, and the other seeks to declare the marriage contract between the spouses invalid.

At the end of 2024, just a few days after the official divorce and on the singer's birthday, Janis Timma took his own life. The couple had been married since 2020. During their relationship, the basketball player was actively involved in raising Sedokova's younger son, Hector. In addition to him, the singer is raising daughters Alina and Monica.

Timma's family, as well as his ex-wife, model Sana Osha, from whom the athlete has a son, Christian, intend to prove in court that the basketball player's career was ruined, a significant portion of his property was registered in Sedokova's name, and after the divorce, he was left without support.

A separate subject of the proceedings will be the marriage contract. According to the athlete's relatives, it was the terms of this agreement that led to Janis Timma losing several properties in Moscow after the divorce. As a result, his eight-year-old son did not receive an inheritance after his father's death.

The legal confrontation between Janis Timma's family and Anna Sedokova promises to become one of the most high-profile cases in the Russian show business. The athlete's relatives intend to seek a review of property agreements and provide a legal assessment of the events leading up to his tragic death.
