On March 14 and 15, the largest pet exhibition in the Baltics, PetExpo 2026, will take place at the International Exhibition Center in Kipsala! The event will gather thousands of dogs, cats, and other pets from around the world, offering a unique opportunity to see rare breeds, watch exciting competitions, and meet four-legged champions.
More than 3000 dogs will compete for championship titles
For two days, over 3000 dogs will compete in 20 rings for the titles of Latvian champions and international champions. Participants will arrive from 12 countries, including Finland, Japan, and Portugal. PetExpo 2026 will feature 237 dog breeds, including particularly rare and exotic ones. One of the most outstanding is the Formosan Mountain Dog. Only three representatives of this breed are registered in Europe, and two of them will come to the exhibition. Intense competition is expected in the rings of French Bulldogs, Labradors, and American Staffordshire Terriers, where several dozen participants will compete.
Cat beauty contests and special demonstrations
Cat lovers will be able to see over 300 four-legged friends, dozens of breeds, including Sacred Burmese cats, Lykoi, and Maine Coons. Cats will be judged by breed, age, and color, allowing visitors to recognize various types of fur, shades, and temperaments. The exhibition will feature both breed evaluations and a Best in Show competition, which will determine the best kittens, young cats, adults, and spayed cats. Additionally, visitors will enjoy various shows, such as shows of green-eyed cats or cats with special fur, which will allow them to get closer to the diversity of breeds.
Exotic birds and rural inhabitants
PetExpo 2026 will not only be dedicated to dogs and cats — visitors will also be delighted by exotic birds and farm animals. Among the colorful exotic birds will be macaws, rosellas, Caique parrots, and other intelligent birds that will amaze with both their beauty and skills. Future and current parrot owners will have access to practical advice on caring for birds at home – how to feed them properly, socialize them, and ensure they have sufficient mental and physical activity. Meanwhile, goats, ponies, and rabbits will charm with their friendly nature. Visitors will be able to feed the rabbits and goats themselves and observe the daily habits and care of the animals. Children will have the opportunity to ride ponies and get to know the animals better, gaining valuable experience in interacting with them.

At Kipsala, visitors will not only enjoy shows and competitions but also purchase everything necessary for their pets. Shows, games, and exciting moments for the whole family
The program of PetExpo 2026 will feature thrilling sports performances and dog demonstrations in various disciplines. Service dogs will perform FCI IGP obedience programs – one of the most challenging disciplines in service dog sports, which tests obedience, concentration, and working skills. Northern sled dogs will demonstrate their strength, endurance, and precision. Both adults and children are invited to participate in activities related to animal-assisted therapy. Australian Shepherds, Samoyeds, Border Collies, and Dachshunds will showcase their skills in the demonstration area. Students from the Dog Fan school will present an agility show – a coordinated performance of the dog and owner. Everyone will enjoy performances from the circus studio, and a zone of inflatable attractions Annels with free entertainment will be organized for the youngest visitors.
