Flower Tourism: 8 Best Places in Europe to Admire Blooming Plants

These eight locations will give tourists incredible experiences and the best photos for social media.

"Flower" tourism seems to never lose its relevance. People flock to admire the blooming of wildflowers or fruit trees, despite wars and other upheavals.

Traditionally, spring to summer is considered the best time for this. But since nature has its own laws, it is important to choose the right time to visit a particular floral location.

The world's largest travel publisher, Lonely Planet, has selected eight tourist locations in Europe where one can admire the blooms this year.

Experts have also determined the best time to travel to each of these destinations.

"The stunning floral spectacles of Europe magnificently mark the change of seasons. Sunflowers bow their golden heads under the impeccably blue sky of Tuscany in summer. Lavender fields stretch for miles, releasing their fragrance, between the honey-colored houses of Provence. Roses fill the air with sweet scent in Bulgaria. Bluebells, accompanied by the song of cuckoos, paint the ancient forests of Britain purple in May. Tulips herald the arrival of spring, creating a riot of colors in the Netherlands," the authors note.
