The World is Full of Grayness”: Ksenia Sobchak on Loneliness, Thoughts, and Intellectual Hunger

The journalist spoke about the lack of communication on equal terms.

Television host Ksenia Sobchak spoke about loneliness and the lack of intellectual dialogue. In her Telegram channel, the journalist shared her reflections on a state that director Valeria Gai Germanika described as "the loneliness of the mind." This is not about physical isolation, but about the lack of interlocutors capable of maintaining a conversation on an equal level and engaging in meaningful debate.

Sobchak admitted that she often feels a sense of internal detachment when there is not enough space for deep exchanges of thoughts. According to her, this feeling is related to the need for an intellectual "mirror" – a person who can surprise, argue, and offer an alternative point of view. It is precisely the absence of such contact, in Germanika's opinion, that creates a kind of intellectual hunger and a sense of emptiness.

At the same time, the television host emphasized that she does not remain alone with her experiences. She noted that she values the opportunity to discuss complex topics with loved ones – in particular, with her husband Konstantin Bogomolov, as well as with Valeria Gai Germanika herself.

"I’m lucky that when I feel lonely, I can call Lera. The world is unfair, grayness reigns everywhere, we will all die. But life is worth living," Sobchak wrote.

Previously, the journalist has repeatedly spoken about the importance of depth in relationships and that she is attracted to confident yet restrained men. Despite her divorce from Maxim Vitorgan, she maintains a respectful relationship with her ex-husband and expresses gratitude to the people who have played a significant role in her life. For the last 6.5 years, Ksenia Sobchak has been married to director Konstantin Bogomolov.
