The basketball player took his own life in a Moscow hotel, right after his ex-wife's birthday. Janis's relatives are convinced that Anna is involved in the tragedy.
Relatives of the late basketball player Janis Timma have filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, singer Anna Sedokova. They intend to seek justice and punish the singer.
The essence of the claims is not in the alleged driving of the athlete to suicide, although such accusations are still being voiced by Timma's family regarding Anna. This time, Janis's parents and his first wife, Sana Osha, want a fair division of the jointly acquired property of the basketball player and the artist. A preliminary meeting of the parties is scheduled for March 2.
The family's lawyer, Margarita Gavrilova, emotionally commented on the situation in her Telegram channel. "This is what the so-called 'deadlock' looks like, which I was told about in the comments. Everything is proceeding in its own way. Calmly, consistently, and according to the law! Anna Vladimirovna, the time for hiding is coming to an end. Now everything will happen in the courtroom, not in interviews or stories. Your bets, ladies and gentlemen! Will the 'widow' appear in court?" she wrote.
Many believe that Sedokova will try to evade again by sending her lawyer or PR manager to the hearing. Or she might even ignore the summons altogether. So far, the singer has not reacted to the upcoming proceedings.
Recall that the tragedy occurred in December 2024. A week after his divorce from Sedokova, the 32-year-old athlete took his own life in a hostel in Moscow. In the deceased's phone, a number for the singer was found with the note "Call Anna."
Sana Osha, Timma's first wife and the mother of his son, expressed confusion about where the athlete's money had gone, who had recently been earning millions. "A person is being humiliated, he was borrowing money... I remember that he was a millionaire when he divorced and signed a huge contract with a Russian club... In what direction was that money spent? How could a person have such a financial situation that three years later he is unable to pay even minimal child support and spends the last days of his life in some motel?" she stated, reproaching Sedokova.
There are still many dark spots in the story of Janis's voluntary departure from life. Fans are convinced that the star is withholding something about the fateful night when her ex-husband passed away. However, it is unlikely that Anna will provide any revelations. She values her reputation too much to reveal her cards.
The singer herself, after the death of her ex-husband, said that the last years of her life had been like hell. "I just want to say: I think you can't even imagine how bad I feel. I'm trying to survive. And to everyone who writes to me 'I hope you die,' I want to say: believe me, I practically died a year ago, I really died a year ago," she shared.
