A simple recipe for lavash envelopes with juicy filling — quick, tasty, and without kneading dough.
Ingredients
- Thin lavash — 1 sheet
- Boiled chicken fillet — 150 g
- Green onion — a small bunch
- Fresh basil — 3-4 sprigs
- Tomato — 1 medium
- Hard or semi-hard cheese — 100 g
- Sour cream — 3 tbsp
- Garlic — 1 clove
- Eggs — 2 pcs
- Milk — 50 ml
- Salt, black ground pepper — to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying — 2-3 tbsp
- Favorite spices (paprika, dried garlic, Italian herbs)
Preparation
- Cut the chicken fillet, cheese, and tomato into thin slices. Finely chop the herbs and garlic.
- Mix the sour cream with garlic, salt, pepper, and spices until smooth.
- Cut the lavash into strips about 14 cm wide, spread the sauce, and place the filling.
- Roll the lavash into triangles, dip in the mixture of beaten eggs and milk.
- Fry over medium heat for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain the finished pies on a paper towel.
The filling can be anything: sausage, ham, mushrooms, vegetables, or their combinations. For spiciness, add hot pepper or your favorite spices.
