Quick and Filling: Lavash with Minced Meat for Breakfast or Dinner

Sometimes you want to prepare something as simple as possible, yet filling and tasty — without spending a long time at the stove. This option is perfect for a hearty breakfast or a quick dinner. It tastes like Turkish pizza with minced meat, but it cooks much faster and from the most accessible ingredients.

If you love lavash and meat fillings, this recipe is definitely worth saving.

What You Will Need

The ingredients are very simple — everything is easy to find in any store:

  • lavash — 1 package
  • minced meat — 400 g
  • onion — 1/2 piece
  • tomato — 1 piece
  • pickles — 2 pieces
  • herbs — to taste

Optional:

  • lime juice
  • fresh mint

Preparing the Base

Cut the lavash into convenient pieces — based on the diameter of the frying pan. These can be circles, ovals, or just large sheets.

Chop the onion as finely as possible. This is important: fine chopping will allow it to fry well, become soft and juicy, rather than feeling like separate pieces.

Forming the Flatbreads with Minced Meat

On each piece of lavash, spread the minced meat in a thin layer. Don’t make it too thick — it will take longer to cook, and the lavash will be harder to roll up.

Sprinkle finely chopped onion on top and press it well into the minced meat so that it doesn’t fall off while frying. Season with salt and pepper to taste, press down slightly again — and you can start frying.

Frying

Lightly grease the frying pan with vegetable oil and place the lavash with the filling side down. Cook over medium heat.

After about 4 minutes, you can flip the flatbreads, but rely on the type of minced meat:

  • chicken cooks faster,
  • beef or mixed may need a bit more time.

The main thing is that the minced meat is fully cooked.

Juicy Filling Without Sauce

While the flatbreads are frying, prepare the filling:

  • cut the pickle into thin strips;
  • slice the fresh tomato into thin half-rings.

Thanks to the vegetables, the dish turns out juicy even without sauce. Add herbs to taste: dill and parsley are classic, while arugula gives a particularly bright flavor.

Assembly and Serving

On the finished flatbread with minced meat, place the vegetables and herbs, then fold it into a triangle — it’s easier to eat this way.

You can experiment:

  • add a bit of lime juice,
  • include fresh mint,
  • find your perfect flavor combination.

Conclusion

As a result, you get a dish that:

  • cooks quickly,
  • is very filling,
  • is aromatic and homely delicious.

An ideal option when you want something special without extra hassle.
