Stewed Liver Fritters: The Secret to the Perfect Recipe

Stewed liver fritters are a nutritious dish that is first fried and then finished by stewing. This cooking method makes the fritters especially soft and reduces the characteristic bitterness of the liver.

Ingredients for Fritters:

  • Turkey liver — 500 g
  • Onion — 1 pc
  • Dried garlic — to taste
  • Egg — 1 pc
  • Flour — 4 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper — to taste

For Stewing:

  • Onion — 2 pcs
  • Carrot — 2 pcs
  • Sour cream — 500 g
  • Salt and pepper — to taste

Total cooking time — 45 minutes.

Preparation:

  1. Preparing the Liver: Blend the liver with the onion until smooth using a blender.

  2. Forming the Batter: Add the egg, flour, salt, pepper, and dried garlic. Mix well.

  3. Frying the Fritters: Heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the fritters on both sides until golden brown.

  4. Preparing the Vegetables for Stewing: In a separate pan, sauté the onion in half rings, add grated carrot, and fry until soft.

  5. Stewing the Fritters: Pour sour cream into a pot, add the sautéed vegetables, and place the fritters. Repeat layers until the ingredients are used up. Add a little water and stew for 15 minutes.

Now your liver fritters are ready — soft, fragrant, and tender, perfectly paired with sour cream or fresh vegetables.
