Analyzing billions of search queries and saves allowed the service to highlight 21 trends that will set the tone for 2026. The main idea is a desire for comfort, individuality, and soft escapism against the backdrop of information overload fatigue.
One of the most unexpected trends is Cabbage Crush – a mass fascination with cabbage. According to Pinterest, users from the baby boomer and Gen X generations are transitioning from cauliflower to new variations of cabbage-based dishes: from crispy steaks to kimchi cocktails and family recipe soups. The increase in searches aligns with the popular trend towards fiber-rich diets.
In the beauty sector, the key trend will be Glitchy Glam – intentional asymmetry and mistakes in makeup. Users are increasingly searching for ideas for multicolored manicures, two-tone lipsticks, and bold eyeshadows with an avant-garde vibe. This continues the shift away from the idealized image that has dominated in recent years.
Nostalgia will also play a role: the Throwback Kid trend brings attention back to retro toys, vintage children's clothing, and handmade accessories. Zoomers and millennials are shifting their focus to coziness and childhood memories, seeking to compensate for fatigue from the digital environment.
At the same time, interest in Scent Stacking is growing – the creation of personal fragrances by combining oils and niche perfumes. Users are striving for uniqueness and the independent formation of their own "fragrance code."
In the interiors and fashion category, Pinterest highlights Extra Celestial – an aesthetic trend towards cosmic motifs, holographic textures, opalescent shades, and futuristic silhouettes. Searches for alien core, opalescent cosmetics, and fantasy elements in wardrobes are rapidly increasing on the platform.
Classic maximalism is also making a comeback in the form of the Glamoratti trend: massive jewelry, tailored suits with broad shoulders, high collars, and references to the luxury of the 1980s. On the other end of the spectrum is romantic goth in the Vamp Romantic style – black nails, kohl-effect, dark hairstyles, and dramatic makeup.
Equally popular will be Poetcore – a fashion for poetic silhouettes, vintage blazers, and warm turtlenecks, and Khaki Coded – a palette of hunters and explorers dominated by utilitarian shirts, vests, and Bermudas.
The Gimme Gummy trend deserves special attention – a whimsical aesthetic with tactile accessories, 3D embellishments, and "jelly-like" textures. It fits into the overall demand for playful, anti-stress elements in everyday environments.
According to the report, all of this is a result of users' desire for emotional shelter, individual self-expression, and optimism in the here and now. Pinterest notes that the trends of 2026 have no universal rules: everyone adapts them to themselves, avoiding copying and the pressure of mass fashion.
With the number of users growing to 600 million per month and revenue increasing, the company is witnessing a global shift from uniformity to personalization. And judging by the accuracy of past Pinterest Predicts reports, 2026 will indeed be a year of nostalgia, icy shades, fantasy plots, and, unexpectedly, cabbage.
