German scientists have found that a certain color of clothing can significantly increase a woman's attractiveness — in the experiment, it turned out to be red.
Essence of the Study
The experiment involved 120 men of different ages who were shown photographs of women aged 20 and 50 against white and red backgrounds. The men rated sexual attractiveness on a scale from 1 to 9.

A young woman (20 years old) on a red background received 5.91 points, on a white background — 3.44.

An older woman (50 years old) was almost unaffected by the red color: young participants gave 2.22, older ones — 3.92 on the red background and 4.22 on the white background.
Scientists suggest that the color red may be associated with signals of female ovulation, which is why the effect is noticeable in young women.
