The Doctor Warned: These Morning Habits 'Kill' the Pancreas and Lead to Diabetes

Surprisingly, the reason is not the harm of these habits to the heart or brain. They can destroy the health of the pancreas, which regulates sugar levels in our body and energy.

According to surgeon-urologist and candidate of medical sciences Mark Gadzyan, the organ that determines our longevity is the pancreas. When it malfunctions, it is usually followed by diabetes, obesity, heart and vascular diseases, heart attacks, strokes, and chronic fatigue.

"One good endocrinologist once told me in a very candid conversation: 'People think they age because of their heart or brain, but the pancreas is the first to burn out,'" Mark Gadzyan wrote on his Telegram channel.

Most often, we harm our pancreas in the mornings without even realizing it. Specifically, with improper breakfasts.

According to the doctor, the biggest mistake is indulging in sweet breakfasts. It's not just about pastries, but also other popular morning products that can strike the pancreas. For example, sweet yogurts and juices.

"Smart doctors say: 'One pastry in the morning causes a sugar spike as if you injected glucose into your vein.' After years of such breakfasts, the pancreas can no longer cope, and the person ends up on medication," warns Mark Gadzyan.

The second habit that many abuse is drinking coffee on an empty stomach. Although coffee does have many beneficial effects, it is not advisable to experiment with this drink on an empty stomach, especially in the morning. This habit generally negatively affects the gastrointestinal tract, and for the pancreas, it is another significant stress.

"You think you're invigorating yourself, but in reality, you're flooding your pancreas with acid and triggering cortisol release," adds the doctor.

According to Mark Gadzyan, one of his patients would drink coffee every morning for 15 years and then was surprised to be diagnosed with prediabetes, as he never ate sweets in the morning.

Another harmful habit that the pancreas dislikes is frequent snacking. Fruits, nuts, and cookies every two hours do not give this organ a break, causing the person to feel constant weakness and gain weight.
