The fear of GMOs, gluten, and lactose has become widespread — many exclude these products from their diet, considering them harmful. However, as Dr. Alexander Myasnikov claims, most of these concerns are not scientifically grounded.
GMOs: a salvation, not a threat
"Without GMOs, the planet will starve to death," explains the doctor. Genetically modified crops help protect harvests from pests, improve their storage, and reduce food losses. The harm of GMOs to health has not been proven — almost all modern products contain such components to some extent, and this is absolutely safe.
Gluten: not an enemy, but a protein
Yes, gluten is indeed contraindicated for those with celiac disease or allergies. But for most healthy people, this protein poses no danger. Excluding it "just in case" is an excessive measure that does not make the diet healthier.
Lactose: not contraindicated for everyone
According to Myasnikov, only about 10% of adults actually suffer from lactose intolerance. If there is no bloating or discomfort after dairy products, there is no reason to refuse them. Cottage cheese, kefir, and fermented baked milk are complete sources of calcium and protein that should be kept in the diet.
The main conclusion of the specialist is simple: do not turn nutrition into a source of fears. A healthy menu is about variety, moderation, and attention to one's own feelings, not about following trendy restrictions.
