Paris Fashion Week concluded on October 7. For 9 days, the capital of France, once again becoming the center of global fashion, vibrated to the rhythm of ready-to-wear shows for the spring-summer 2026 season.
Paris Fashion Week always becomes an event that sets the tone for the upcoming seasons. Here is a summary of the key trends for the upcoming spring that we noticed:
1. Bright Colors and Prints
Spring 2026 will be filled with bright colors — from neon shades to deep saturated tones. We recommend pairing bright items with neutral accessories for balance. Creative director of Valentino, Alessandro Michele, turned to color therapy as a symbol of light in an atmosphere of total anxiety. His collection titled "Fireflies" and notes for the show called for "disarming the eyes and awakening the gaze." The designer drew inspiration from a letter by Pier Paolo Pasolini from 1941, who, living in the midst of war and under the fascist regime in Italy, wrote about fireflies that give a glimmer of light even in the darkest nights. This poetic message of hope was read before the show by Pamela Anderson, who sat in the front row alongside Lana Del Rey, Colman Domingo, and other industry stars.

2. Structure
Former creative director of Valentino, Pierpaolo Piccioli, made a striking debut as the head designer of Balenciaga, inviting Meghan Markle to the show in an elegant look from the brand. The Duchess, attending Paris Fashion Week for the first time in her status, wore a loose ivory shirt, wide trousers, and an enormous shawl draped casually over her shoulders, flowing down to the ground. Piccioli stated in an interview before the show about the "need to combine intellect and emotion." His debut collection emphasized structure and geometric cuts, unafraid of appearing standard and boring, and featured a wide palette of colors: from soft pink to blood red, from black and white to "eggplant."
3. Femininity and Grace
Finally, shapeless oversized designs have been pushed aside on the runway by the wasp waist and sculpted female figure. Designers propose to highlight the advantages of the female figure in various ways: either by showcasing the body or by accentuating the waist with cuts and belts. For example, Sarah Burton's collection for Givenchy centered around the idea of "strong femininity." In the notes for the show, she explained: "I wanted to explore the strengths of women through female archetypes. It all started with me pushing the boundaries of cuts to expose skin and create a sense of lightness and ease..." Thus, the trend for microscopic tops under business jackets, lowered to the shoulder line of voluminous capes, inevitably belted at the waist, is born. "Naked" dresses, sheer jumpsuits, and other playful ways to dress as if undressed remain relevant.

Lace details, slip dresses, and bodysuits are also trending.
4. Attention to Accessories
Don't forget about the details! Oversized bags with embellishments, unusual clutches, colorful gloves, heavy jewelry, and unique headwear can become key accents of your look. A striking example of how the shape of headwear magically transforms all familiar categories of style was Jonathan Anderson's debut at Dior. Original hats and elegantly integrated elements of cut turned the show of the well-known brand into a stunning spectacle.
5. Sustainability and Ecology
Fashion brands continue to emphasize sustainable production. The use of recycled materials and eco-friendly fabrics has become the norm. We recommend choosing items from brands that adhere to the principles of sustainable fashion. Stella McCartney announced that the motto of her new collection, which is 98% made from conscious and 100% cruelty-free materials, is: "unite for humanity, animals, and Mother Earth."

6. Fur, Down, Fringe
Fur details have sneaked into the spring-summer wardrobe like a sly raccoon, nesting practically everywhere: on shoulders and chests, on trousers and skirts, on shoes, bags, and headwear, and have also become jewelry and frames for glasses. In the desire to unite with nature, one can pretend to be a little ostrich, hummingbird, zebra, or rabbit. Here, the imagination knows no bounds, and the possibilities for manufacturers of artificial fabrics resembling natural furs, skins, and feathers are virtually limitless.
7. Leather
All experts unanimously note that leather has completely taken over the runway. The realm of leather is virtually limitless. As before, leather jackets, cropped sporty bombers with knitted waistbands and cuffs, as well as colorful bikers, blazers, coats, and all their derivatives remain popular. To be on trend, it is enough to dress in leather from head to toe, including underwear, not forgetting a stylish hood or cap. By the way, eco-leather successfully competes with natural leather, demonstrating wonders of thinness, elasticity, durability, a variety of colors, and a range of metallic effects.
Plaid and polka dots also proudly return to everyday and business capsules, while denim maintains its position.
