On the night of May 29, a drone crashed onto the roof of an apartment building in the city of Galați, resulting in a fire in an apartment on the 10th floor. The Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that it was a Russian UAV.

According to a post on Facebook by Romania's Emergency Response Service, the entire explosive charge of the drone detonated, injuring two people. They received assistance on the spot. Seventy people were evacuated, and the fire was extinguished.
