Signs of smartphone hacking include rapid battery drain and freezing.
The slowdown of a smartphone may indicate that it has been hacked. This was reported by ZDNet.
Security expert Lance Whitney named the main signs of smartphone hacking. First and foremost, a rapid battery drain hints at malicious interaction with the device. This occurs because spyware runs in the background and consumes the device's resources. For the same reason, hacked devices typically operate slower than usual or freeze.
Failed login attempts to email services and social media accounts can also indicate hacking. "Such notifications may suggest that someone has gained access to your mobile device and is trying to log in," Whitney explained, advising to change the password immediately in such cases.
Additionally, sometimes when a smartphone is hacked, new applications may appear in its memory that the owner did not install. Free space on the phone's storage also decreases: "Although spyware is invisible, it takes up a lot of space on your gadget."
