Latvian basketball player Kristaps Porziņģis scored 30 points on Monday in an NBA game in which his team, the Golden State Warriors, achieved victory, LETA reports.
The Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards on the road with a score of 125–117 (34:23, 30:34, 34:29, 27:31).
Porziņģis played for 25 minutes and 43 seconds, making one of five three-point shots, seven of eight two-point shots, and 13 of 14 free throws. He also recorded five rebounds, four assists, two steals, three blocks, and two fouls.
For the Warriors, Porziņģis was the top scorer with 30 points, while De’Anthony Melton added 27 points.
For the Wizards, Bilal Coulibaly, Will Riley, and Trae Young each scored 21 points, and Tre Johnson added 13 points.
The Warriors, with 33 wins in 68 games, are in ninth place in the Western Conference.
