One of the richest footballers of modern times, 41-year-old Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo has made a number of investments in various projects over the past few months.
At the end of 2025, Ronaldo invested in the AI-powered search service Perplexity AI. Interestingly, the startup Perplexity was founded by Belarusian native Denis Yarets along with several partners in the USA.
In February 2026, Ronaldo purchased 25% of the shares of the Spanish club Almería, which competes in the second division of the Spanish championship. In March, it became known that the Portuguese invested $7.5 million in a subsidiary of the dietary supplement manufacturer Herbalife.
Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player in football history to become a dollar billionaire. His total wealth reached $1.4 billion.
