Monaco will be fined €425,000 due to the absence of a license for the team's head coach Sébastien Pocognoli.
This is reported by L’Équipe.
According to the publication, the coach of the Monegasques lacks a certificate confirming his level and ability to coach top division clubs in France. As a result, Monaco is forced to pay €25,000 for each match in Ligue 1 or the French Cup in which the Belgian is in charge.
Currently, this amount has reached €425,000, but by the end of the season, it could rise to €750,000.
Pocognoli took over the French club in the fall of 2025. Under his leadership, Monaco has played 23 matches, winning eight of them. Currently, the team is in 10th place in the Ligue 1 table, having earned 28 points after 21 rounds.
