41-year-old American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn commented on the serious injury she sustained at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
"My Olympic dream did not end the way I had hoped. It was not a storybook or fairy tale ending — it was just life. Unfortunately, I suffered a complex fracture of my tibia, which is now stable but will require several surgeries for proper recovery.
Life is too short not to take risks for yourself. Because the only failure in life is not trying," Vonn wrote on social media.
