The head of the Ministry of Economics on how much time it takes to make a simple decision.
Viktors Valainis, at a government meeting, illustrated with a specific example how issues are resolved or not resolved in our country: "One company only needed to approve the testing of a street lamp (this was in Riga). To reach this decision on testing the innovative lamp, it took three committee meetings, nine meetings, eight site visits, the involvement of five engineers, sending 347 emails, making 42 phone calls, and engaging 45 experts."
The Minister of Economics suggested that the chosen path to decision-making is not the most efficient.
