Встреча представителей партий, формирующих правительство Кулбергса

The agreement of the new ruling coalition turned out to be remarkably vague.

So, as is known, today representatives of four political forces signed an agreement on the formation of a new government and the main priorities in the work of Kulbergs' government. Andris Kulbergs himself assured that since this government is destined for a very short life - until the elections on October 3 and for a short time until the approval of the new government - the action plan will be brief and specific.

Well, what can be said? The plan indeed turned out to be short, but the specifics are lacking, and again in the document, as in the coalition agreement of the outgoing government, there are many empty phrases.

Judge for yourself. What does it mean to review "unjustified payments of bonuses and premiums"? Who will decide whether a bonus was unjustifiably paid to a particular civil servant or not?! Surely, it won't be the prime minister assessing this! If the ruling party intends to refuse bonuses and premiums in public administration, then it should say so clearly!

And what about the phrase that there will be no reduction in benefits for families with children! Was there a plan to cut the already meager state support?! Families are waiting for an increase in state support, not empty phrases like "it won't get worse"?

Instead of clearly stating that allocations for healthcare will be increased and by what amount, the power partners merely noted that "healthcare funding will be prioritized, assessing the budgetary possibilities." With such an approach, the new government could later say that we have the opportunity to increase the healthcare budget by 2 million, which is just a drop in the ocean!

Yes, airBaltic is mentioned in terms of priorities, but it only talks about assessing a business plan that is still being prepared. At the same time, nothing is said about whether the government plans to continue investing taxpayers' money in the airline.

The document mentions both basic pensions and supplements for service before 1996 and after 1996. It is indicated that first, these supplements will be received by elderly people aged 85 and over. But it does not specify when these payments will begin - this year or only from January of the next year?
