In connection with the events commemorating the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army in World War II, this year on May 9, fewer violations were recorded in public spaces than last year, as reported by the LETA agency from the State Police.
Due to violations on May 9 this year, the police did not initiate any criminal proceedings, while 98 administrative processes were started.
Four individuals who celebrated this day were detained administratively.
Most of the administrative violation processes were initiated for use in public spaces.
In addition, several processes were initiated for administrative violations related to the use of pyrotechnics: suspects have been identified, and work is currently ongoing with them.
The State Police notes that the total number of administrative processes will increase further, as the investigation of violations in the digital environment continues.
