The coalition council will also discuss the reorganization of the Ministry of Communications.

The proximity of elections is prompting the ruling politicians to remember the fate of the Latvian people. This fate is becoming increasingly sad, considering the cost of fuel and rising inflation. At the upcoming government meeting, representatives of the 'Progressives' party, which is nominally considered leftist, also decided to show interest in the lives of ordinary Latvians and call on their government partners to develop support or assistance measures for the population in the context of high prices, especially in the run-up to the next heating season. The entire set of measures has not yet been announced by the 'Progressives', but it is known that the politicians of this party intend to initiate joint gas purchases with Lithuania and Estonia, as well as discounts on travel on railway and regional bus transport. It is likely that the Ministry of Economics will, for its part, resume dialogue with retail chains about signing amendments to the memorandum on reducing prices for basic food products.

In addition, it is expected that the ruling coalition will discuss the upcoming reorganization of the Ministry of Communications. As is known, this was one of the conditions set before the Prime Minister by the 'Green Farmers' in exchange for their support for the issuance of a loan to airBaltic. Coalition partners will hear the vision of the Minister of Communications, Aitis Shvinkis ('Progressives'), regarding the possible reorganization of his ministry.
