Next week, the president will return from vacation, and he has a whole series of events and meetings planned. The head of state will resume weekly meetings with the prime minister, and visits to the Ventspils and Talsi regions are scheduled. Edgar Rinkēvičs will also hold a meeting of the National Security Council, where, as can be assumed, the readiness of government structures for the parliamentary elections on October 3 will be discussed. As is known, at the president's initiative, the Saeima urgently adopted an amendment to the law that mandates manual vote counting for these parliamentary elections.

On the president's agenda for next week is a meeting with the Minister of Climate and Energy, Kaspars Melniņš, as well as the accreditation of new Latvian ambassadors - in Greece, to the European Union, and in Germany.
