The parliamentarian called for a quicker abandonment of the Russian language in public media after the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Saeima Deputy Arturs Butāns from the National Alliance has once again spoken out about the Russian language in public media:
"Indeed - Latvia does not need bilingualism.
The society decided in a referendum;
The Saeima ruled;
Security services deliberated when creating the national security concept.
This is stated in the decision of the Constitutional Court.
There is also no law requiring the establishment and funding of bilingualism."
