More than one third of residents experienced limitations in performing daily activities due to health problems last year.
At the end of last year, more than one third of the population in Latvia had health problems that hindered or limited their ability to perform daily activities at home, work, or during leisure time for at least the previous six months, according to data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau.
A total of 35.9% of residents reported experiencing limitations related to health problems. Among them, 10.1% faced serious limitations.
Serious limitations were most commonly observed among older individuals; however, 1.5% of residents aged 16 to 24 also experienced serious limitations due to health issues.
