The Opposition Tests the Nerves of the Ruling Party! 0 26

Let us remind you that yesterday the majority of parliamentarians did not support the initiative of the 'Latvia First' faction to allow Latvians, if they wish, to withdraw their savings from the second pension level completely or partially. The same fate befell another proposal from the same faction - to exempt one of the working parents raising three or more children from paying income tax. However, the opposition deputies are not willing to give up - they slightly modified the mentioned initiatives and reintroduced them to parliament!

Now the 'Latvia First' faction proposes to allow Latvians to withdraw their savings from the second level in certain cases: for medical treatment (surgery, other medical procedures, medications), as well as for debt repayment and for purchasing a primary residence. As for the income tax, the opposition deputies propose to exempt parents of four or more children from this tax. It is clear that the opposition will continue to attempt to 'torpedo' the ruling party with similar initiatives until the elections, as they are aimed at improving the financial situation of Latvians and supporting demographics.
