Given the recent escalation in the Middle East, including rocket attacks and the closure of airspace, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) strongly advises all travelers to refrain from visiting Israel, according to a statement from the MFA, as reported by LETA.
The Ministry urges Latvian citizens currently in Israel to stay close to shelters and follow the authorities' instructions.
Citizens who have traveled to Israel for a short trip and need assistance returning to Latvia are encouraged to contact the 24-hour duty officer of the Consular Department at +37126337711 or via email at palidziba@mfa.gov.lv.
