“This is very concerning, and many are talking about it — that the third world war may not start in Ukraine, but in the Middle East,” said historian and political scientist Karlis Dauksts on the TV24 program “Globuss.”
According to him, the third world war may not break out because of Ukraine and this conflict, which is very serious and close to our hearts and our security, but in the Middle East, as the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians have currently begun military exercises in the Strait of Hormuz, which are actually taking place in parallel with the concentrated forces of the United States of America, reports nra.lv. The involvement of Russia, China, and Iran in the confrontation in the strait, through which about 40% of the oil produced passes, creates significant tension, Dauksts believes.
