Rinkēvičs and Silina to Participate in the Munich Security Conference

The President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, and Prime Minister Evika Silina will participate in the Munich Security Conference from Friday, February 13, to Sunday, February 15, as reported by the president's office and the State Chancellery.

On Sunday, February 15, the president is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion of the main program of the Munich Security Conference titled "Europeans assemble: Reclaiming Agency in a Rougher World."

Rinkēvičs plans to take part in other discussions included in the conference program, including on Friday, February 13, in a discussion organized by the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence titled "The New Great Game: Rethinking Information, Technology, and Global Power," and on Saturday, February 14, in a discussion on support for Ukraine titled "Ukraine: futures 'Frontline.'"

During the visit, there will also be a bilateral meeting between Rinkēvičs and the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, along with other bilateral meetings scheduled.

The Prime Minister will also participate in the official opening of the conference and hold bilateral meetings with officials and representatives of international companies.

The Munich Security Conference is one of the leading international forums on security and foreign policy, bringing together state leaders, ministers, heads of international organizations, experts, and business representatives annually to discuss global challenges, international stability, and cooperation.

This year, the conference will feature over 1,000 representatives from more than 115 countries, including approximately 60 heads of state and government and over 50 leaders of international organizations.
