Parliamentarians intend to "glimpse into the future" next week - the Saeima's budget and finance committee will hear from experts working on the "Latvia 2050" concept - that is, on the country's development prospects for the next 25 years.
Meanwhile, deputies working in the legal commission are more grounded and will discuss a current procedural issue - the possibility of using operational materials in other criminal and administrative cases. The Supreme Court has concluded that the law currently does not allow operational materials - for example, wiretaps - from one criminal case to be used in other proceedings.
The deputies of the defense and internal affairs committee will hold their meeting... at the tax and customs police, where they will be introduced to the specifics of this law enforcement structure.
