The psychotherapist and public figure commented on the "fuss" in the Saeima regarding various declarations on international politics.
Renowned psychotherapist Nils Konstantinovs discussed the latest political events in the country with political scientist Jurģis Liepnieks on a YouTube channel, specifically the story of the Speaker of the Saeima signing a letter in support of the Nobel Prize for Trump and the appearance of two declarations in parliament dedicated to Trump.
"This is some kind of chaos. First, the Speaker of the Saeima, Mierinš, signs a letter without waiting for approvals, then Šlesers' party comes out with a draft declaration stating that the Saeima warmly supports the Nobel Prize for Trump, and then the ruling party presents their declaration, in which they confess their abnormal love for Trump but do not mention the Nobel Prize... Outside of Latvia, everyone is asking with wide eyes: what is happening there?!" lamented J. Liepnieks.
Psychotherapist Nils Konstantinovs points out another aspect: "We are losing 5,000 people to cancer because there are no effective medicines that are available in other countries. Meanwhile, deputies are busy writing declarations that have no impact! Is this what Latvians expect from their deputies?!"
