Germans Retreat Again – This Time from Greenland. Latvia Escapes with a Scare

15 German soldiers who arrived to assist Greenland suddenly left the island today without explanation, writes Bild. Latvia was not invited to Greenland.

The publication managed to capture the departure of German military personnel from Nuuk. According to the publication, the order to return was issued early in the morning, and all meetings and events were urgently canceled. The decision was made without official explanations from Berlin; the military was simply ordered to leave the island.

One theory suggests that the withdrawal is related to tariff threats from Trump.

Recall that Trump yesterday imposed a 25% tariff against eight European countries that sent their troops to Greenland.

Interestingly, Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds really wanted to send Latvian soldiers and officers to Greenland. But Denmark did not invite them. It seems they got lucky.

Today, the U.S. president made a new statement, calling the deployment of European troops to Greenland "a very dangerous situation for the survival of our planet."

"Only the United States of America under President Donald Trump can play this game, and do it very successfully! No one will touch this sacred piece of land, especially considering that the national security of the United States and the entire world is at stake.

In addition, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland made a journey to Greenland with unknown purposes. This is a very dangerous situation for the security and survival of our planet. These countries, playing this very dangerous game, have created a level of risk that is unacceptable and unsustainable.

Therefore, it is crucial that decisive measures are taken to protect global peace and security so that this potentially dangerous situation is resolved quickly and unequivocally," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

Clearly, the Germans have already taken "decisive measures" and are in retreat.
