Over the course of 11 months this year, municipalities paid their residents guaranteed minimum income benefits totaling €12,742,267, according to information from the Ministry of Welfare, reports LETA.
The largest amount — €1,244,280 — was paid out in March of this year.
On average, 10,893 residents received the benefit monthly this year.
The guaranteed minimum income benefit is financial support in monetary terms to cover minimum daily expenses.
