Photos of the car that picked up the Polish delegation in Riga have appeared on social media.

The car was clearly dirty.

In response to the criticism, Polish Foreign Ministry representative Maciej Wewiors explained that the transportation of the delegation is the responsibility of the host country, not the Polish embassy.

He also pointed out that the photos were taken on Wednesday evening when it was raining in Riga and there was no car wash at the airport. Additionally, he added that the Polish embassy had influence only over the organization of the visit, but not over the condition of the car.
