The Saeima deputy is categorically against the influx of citizens from third countries into the country.
During a discussion on the program "Kas notiek Latvijā?" on Latvian TV, Saeima deputy Jānis Dombrava (National Alliance) expressed doubts about the possibility of integrating citizens from third countries: "We have migrants in our country who arrived here during the Soviet occupation. A significant portion of them never integrated or blended into our society. The new wave of immigration against the backdrop of negative birth rates - we have the lowest birth rate in the last 100 years! - will lead to the replacement of Latvians by foreigners. I believe that in the current situation, no integration of citizens from third countries is possible."
