Who will the 'United List' unite with?

The experienced politician, deputy of the 'United List' in the Saeima Ingmars Lidaka told Latvijas Avīze that his party intends to enter the government in the near future. But who will it be in coalition with?

"No one, including myself, can say what the political force 'Latvia First' will think, do, and what its attitude will be in six months. This is a party that skillfully changes its priorities and behavior. We need to find out whether Ainars Slesers will continue to seek support by catering to non-Latvian voters or change his orientation, speeches, and actions. At this moment, Slesers is quite deliberately relying on the votes of the Russian audience. And in a recent twist, he even proposed cooperation to the National Alliance — this also indicates that it is impossible to say what position LPV will take in the upcoming elections. Thus, I am not drawing any lines. Roslikov and Julia Stepanenko, especially the latter, are likely to be quite serious players in the future Saeima — we will not be on the same path with them."

As for what the politician says about the new competitor on the national front: "Hermanis proposes to divide Latvia into one hundred electoral districts, and imagine a Saeima in which, say, 30 deputies are elected, completely free and independent, not tied to a party. Good luck herding them and establishing order so that this herd supports the government!"

Moreover, the former head of the Riga Zoo is concerned that the Indians and Sri Lankans arriving in Latvia are not mastering the Latvian language and are creating their communities in the areas of Marijas, Chaka, and Avotu streets. "We do not feel a strong desire to integrate into Latvian society."
