Stretching to the Budget. Partners Can No Longer Stand Each Other

The government remains only on paper.

Formally, the government and even the ruling coalition still exist, but there has been no normal functioning in power for a long time. And what kind of cooperation among power partners can be discussed when one minister files a complaint against another minister with the Prosecutor General's Office, and deputies from one ruling party vote together with the opposition for the dismissal of a minister from another ruling party.

Ruling politicians in the corridors do not hide that they are only held together by... the budget-2026. As soon as it is adopted, the leaders of the three ruling forces plan to gather together and decide whether they can continue to work together.

But first of all, it is not yet a fact that the budget will be adopted in the form in which it was agreed upon by the government. The "Green Farmers," for example, may vote for certain proposals from the opposition in exchange for the opposition's support for their own proposals - for instance, for allocating funds for passenger transport in the provinces.

Secondly, it cannot be ruled out that secret negotiations to form a new government will begin very soon. And if they are successful, then there will be no point in a meeting of today's coalition partners after the budget is adopted.

It is highly likely that Evika Silina will congratulate us on the New Year already in the status of acting Prime Minister, that is, as the head of a resigned government.
