The Riga municipality plans to spend up to 850,000 euros on information campaigns over the next two years.

The Riga municipality plans to spend up to 850,000 euros on information campaigns over the next two years, according to information published in the electronic procurement system regarding the announced procurement by the municipality.

The procurement is announced for the needs of the communication department. The maximum total amount of the contract will be up to 850,000 euros excluding VAT. The contract is planned to be concluded for two years or until the entire amount is spent.

The previous contract for organizing information campaigns ends at the end of this year, so the municipality has announced a new procurement. The criterion for evaluating applicants will be the economically most advantageous offer considering the proposed costs and the fulfillment of the technical assignment.

The contract will provide for the placement of information about various municipality projects on television, radio, the internet, print media, and other media, as well as in the form of outdoor advertising.

The task for procurement participants is a communication campaign for the implementation of low-emission zones in the capital. The Riga City Council has not yet made a decision on the introduction of such zones.

To participate in the procurement, applicants must develop a campaign plan titled "Thoughtful Mobility - Clean Air!" Applications are accepted until December 11.

A low-emission zone is an area where the transport system is reorganized to reduce environmental pollution and change the population's movement habits. Such zones are planned to be introduced in the center of Riga, restricting car traffic.
